1. Microchip First

2. Rabies Vaccination

Only killed-virus vaccines are accepted. The shot must be administered:

  • At least 30 days before arrival
  • No more than 12 months before travel

3. Rabies Antibody Titre Test (for high-risk countries)

  • Mandatory for pets from rabies-affected countries
  • Blood must be tested at an OIE-approved lab
  • Antibody level must be ≥0.5 IU/ml
  • Wait 180 days after the test before entering Taiwan
